Welgevonden Estate: Winners of the Garden-of-the-Year 2024 competition

Thank you to those who entered the Garden-of-the-Year 2024 competition and for the high standards you’ve set with your lovely gardens. Your efforts made the judging both a delight and a challenge!

 

A special thank you for dedicating your time and creativity to enhance Welgevonden Estate with your beautiful gardens. Your contributions to the estate's landscaping perfectly align with Excom's commitment to enhancing the appeal of the estate.

 

This year we were honoured to have internationally acclaimed landscaping architect Leon Kluge, as the competition’s main adjudicator. More information about Leon available here:

And the results are…

The winners of this year’s Welgevonden Estate Garden-of-the-Year competition – sponsored by SADIECOFFEE – are as follows:

  • Garden-of-the-Year 2024: Paul and Lucille Lochner, 27 Kambro Street

  • Runner up: Garden-of-the-Year 2024: Dalina de Villiers, 39 Mountain Silver Drive

  • Most Water-Wise Indigenous Garden 2024: Carolina van der Horst, 2 Honeysuckle Street


Well done to all – winners and participants! A big thank you also goes to Johann Sadie from SADIECOFFEE for generously sponsoring the first prize for this competition!
