Welcome to the November 2024 newsletter in which we highlight significant events and important dates for the rest of the year.
WHOA AGM 2024
Further to the notices that were sent out on 31 October and 7 November 2024, we wish to remind all Welgevonden Estate homeowners about the WHOA Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2024 taking place at 18:00 on Thursday 21 November 2024. The meeting venue this year is conveniently located close by in the Wine Cellar of Weltevreden Estate, adjacent to Welgevonden Estate outside the R304 entrance.
Access to Weltevreden Estate: Those attending the AGM, please collect an access permit at the Welgevonden Estate office to display in your vehicle. This will allow easy access to Weltevreden Estate on the day of the AGM.

Welgevonden Christmas Carols 2024
Join us for a festive evening!
Organised by a dedicated group of hardworking Welgevonden Estate residents, Welgevonden Christmas Carols 2024 will be held on the green area below the SADIECOFFEE kiosk on Saturday 14 December 2024, starting at 18:30. We look forward to a lovely program featuring live music from our talented local musicians on stage, along with the arrival of Santa Claus to delight the children, and everyone else still young at heart!

Extending existing and new lease agreements
For tenants renewing their lease agreements at the end of November 2024, please update and submit your information to the Welgevonden Estate office as soon as possible to avoid a last-minute rush at month-end.
Please also note that biometric access to Welgevonden Estate automatically ends when lease agreements terminate. To ensure uninterrupted access and egress, please renew your lease promptly if you intend to extend it, and submit the information to the estate office.

Resident parking permits
We remind residents whose parking permits expire at the end of December 2024 to renew their permits in time at the Welgevonden Estate office. For more information, please send an e-mail to the estate office at admin@welgevonden.co.za.
Important dates: December 2024 / January 2025 holiday season
Administrative office: The Welgevonden Estate office (R44 entrance) will close at 12:00 on Wednesday 18 December 2024 and reopen on Wednesday 8 January 2025. Matters that require urgent attention during this period can be referred to the estate’s security office, telephone number 021 889 5209.
Biometric registration: The security office (R304 entrance) will be open on weekdays (excluding public holidays) from 09:00 13:00 from 19 December 2024 to 3 January 2025 for those who wish to register on the biometric system.
Estate landscaping service: Bidvest personnel will be on leave over the period 25 December 2024 to 3 January 2025. Landscaping services will resume on 6 January 2025.
Builders’ holiday: The annual builders’ holiday starts on Friday 13 December 2024 and ends on Friday 10 January 2025. Therefore, the last day for any building activity and cleaning up of sites is Thursday 12 December 2024. During the builders’ holiday period no construction or building activities will be allowed on Welgevonden Estate, and building contractors will not be allowed to enter the estate. All building sites must be properly closed off before the start of the builders’ holiday, according to building requirements. No building materials and/or tools may be stored or left outside the building site enclosures. Furthermore, transportable toilets for contractors must be positioned within the enclosed site areas. Note: As an exception, Welgevonden Estate will allow building operations to resume on Wednesday 8 January 2025, if required.
Submitting building plans: The closing date for submitting building plans for revision at the Welgevonden Estate Office is 29 November 2024.
SADIECOFFEE: The coffee kiosk on Welgevonden Estate will be closed on the following dates: 24 and 25 December 2024, and 1 January 2025.
Welgevonden dam: Opening hours
The Welgevonden dam is open daily from 05:30 to 19:30.
