The festive season is almost here! Come together with your fellow Welgevonden Estate residents for the Welgevonden Estate Christmas Carols 2024 event – an annual tradition filled with music, community spirit, and holiday cheer!
The event is organised by a dedicated group of volunteers from our community who are thrilled to share it with you once again. It's a wonderful opportunity to connect with neighbours, enjoy festive melodies, and celebrate the season together!
Bring your picnic baskets, chairs and blankets!

Date: Saturday, 14 December 2024
Time: 18:30 (Arrive early to grab a spot!)
Location: Welgevonden Estate’s green area at the SADIECOFFEE kiosk
Stalls
An interesting selection of stalls offering delightful items will be open from 16:00. Show your support to our locals and use this opportunity to find your Christmas gifts!
Santa Claus
Santa will be making his appearance at the event to delight the children, and everyone else young at heart! Parents, here are the details for dropping off your children’s gifts ahead of the event:
Delivery address: No 4 Chestnut Lane, Welgevonden Estate
Delivery dates: 13 and 14 December 2024
Cut-off time: 16:00 on Saturday 14 December
Charities
In the spirit of the festive season, we kindly encourage you to donate generously to support the event’s four chosen charities. All donations, including monetary contributions, are welcome!
StellCare: Anything, but especially children's clothes, toys and stationery. (Read more about StellCare.)
Safe House Stellenbosch: Anything relating to women and children. (Read more about Safe House Stellenbosch.)
Animal Welfare Society Stellenbosch (AWSS): All pet-related items. (Read more about AWSS.)
Mama Themba: Newborn to three-month old baby clothes, blankets and all other baby-related items. No milk powder or bottles as they are pro breastfeeding. (Read more about Mama Themba.)
Donation drop-off points:
A collection box is available at SADIECOFFEE during business hours on any day from now until 23 December.
Larger items can be left under the carport of 13 Pin Oak Street at any time.
Donated items can also be put in the designated boxes at the Engel & Völkers gazebo during the event. While there, collect glow sticks and mini lights that Engel & Völkers will be handing out for the kids to enjoy! Raffle tickets will also be available at the gazebo from 16:00 with exciting prizes to be won!
Parking
Parking is limited. While we encourage you to invite friends to join the festivities, please let them park at your home and walk to the event.
SADIECOFFEE
In addition to their regular coffee and menu offerings, SadieCoffee will also be serving roosterkoek and hamburgers at multiple service points.
